Is a special trip that gives you a chance to explore one of the wonderful freshwater bodies in Rwanda with uniqueness sunset to side of Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Remember Lake Kivu is the largest of the many freshwater lakes that shimmer in the valleys of Rwanda and this lake offers welcome retreats in between the sometimes vigorous hikes to find primate species especial gorillas, golden monkeys and chimpanzees in the surrounding Volcanoes national park (VNP) and Nyungwe national park (NNP). By joining this fishermen, trip can take almost three to four hours where you enjoyed the way fishermen sing in their way heading to middle of the lake and if you haven’t no fear we allow you to join one of their large boat as this activity done by using three large boats connected together and pumping lamps used to attract Isambaza (tiny fishes). Lake Kivu is also the perfect place where visitors can relax, swim, or take a boat excursion travel and pass the small lakeside villages that offer a rewarding glimpse of rural life.
You can take on organized boat excursions in the morning to explore the expanse of the lake and its surroundings, including the rural life lived out in the villages at the lake’s edge.
